Esther Sithabile

Monalisa Esther Sithabile Jangano Mutimutema joined NTBRL in 2015 as a medical laboratory scientist. She is a seasoned laboratory scientist with vast experience in quality management systems, internal auditing, bacteriology, mycology and TB diagnostic services. Her appointment as the quality officer at NTBRL stretches from the year 2016 to date and she has more than 20 years’ experience in Quality management systems and medical laboratory practice.

Prior to joining NTBRL Monalisa worked with commendable organizations. She discharged her expertise with UZ-UCSF as a clinical laboratory scientist & Project manager for 13 years. In that tenure she was involved in establishment of UZ-UCSF BSL3- TB Laboratory, the road to accreditation and maintenance of ISO 15189 standards in the Site laboratories, Medical Microbiology and Molecular Department for HIV Prevention Network(HPTN) and Clinical Trials Unit(CTU) and maintaining the laboratories to PPD (Pharmaceutical product development) standards.
