V. Kampira

Mr Kampira joined NTBRL in September 2021 as the Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist responsible for the management and leadership of the reference laboratory. Mr Kampira is a well experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist with 12 years of experience in public, private and NGO setups. Mr Kampira has a wealth of technical expertise, Quality management systems, Data analytics, research methodology, excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills.

Prior to joining NTBRL Mr Kampira worked at National Blood services Zimbabwe (Lab supervisor), ZIMPHIA (Team leader), Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital (Lab Scientist). He holds an Honors degree in Medical laboratory sciences(UZ), Advanced diploma in project design and management(LSTM), Master’s degree in Bio-statistics & Epidemiology(MSU) and a Master’s in Business administration(GZU).

Mr Kampira’s leadership skills and enhanced team effort enabled NTBRL to achieve a great milestone of accreditation in ISO15189:2012 by September 2022. NTBRL attained accreditation in 8 scopes of testing, one of the largest accredited scopes in the country.
